AIS is going to the Big Apple!
Join us as we celebrate our milestone 20th Annual National Juried Exhibition which will feature 150 juried paintings from some of the top American Impressionist artists working today. In addition there will be another 20 paintings by our AIS Masters. This promises to be our best exhibition yet and will be held at the historic

Thursday, Sept. 19:
10am- Utrecht Paint Factory Tour sponsored by Blick/Utrecht. Open to AIS members. Tour limited to 20 participants. Second tour at 11am will be added if enough are registered.
6 to 9pm - AIS Opening Reception & Awards Presentation at the Salmagundi Club. Free and open to the public.
Friday, Sept. 20:
Educational Events - check AIS website for times and complete information when schedule is finalized. Register on our Events page - registration for events will be open beginning July 1st.
10-11am - Lecture by Peter Trippi, Fine Art Connoisseur. Free for AIS members. $25 non- members
11am-1pm - This is always our most popular educational event! Panelists will be AIS Masters Kevin Macpherson and C.W. Mundy, AIS Signature Member Derek Penix, Michelle Dunaway and Debra Joy Groesser, AIS CEO/President. AIS Education Director and Signature Member Vanessa Rothe will be the moderator. Topics will cover a wide range, from "what is impressionism" to marketing, galleries, general advice and each artist's individual journey and style. Come with your questions! Free for AIS members. $25 for non members.
1-2pm - Lunch on your own
2-4:30pm - This dual demo with Michelle Dunaway and Derek Penix painting the subject of their choice will compare and contrast realism vs impressionism in a lively and casual discussion. AIS Education Director Vanessa Rothe will moderate with prompts throughout the live demo. Free for AIS members and one guest each. $25 for non-members.
5-6pm - Happy Hour Cocktail Reception sponsored by American Art Collector (for AIS members and one guest).
6-8pm – Demo by AIS Master and Judge of Awards Kevin Macpherson. Free and open to the public.
Sept. 21: Southwest Art Saturday: All Member Paintout sponsored by Southwest Art Magazine (AIS Members only). Central Park, New York City. Details on the event registration page.
Closing Party for AIS members and a guest sponsored by Southwest Art Magazine – time/place TBA
